why?

A few reasons for cataloging everything... I was buying too many records and not knowing what I had and didn't have, accidentally buying duplicates. I started doing a radio show and needed a faster way to flip through my singles which at that point were stacked three-high in cardboard boxes seven feet above on the top of my LP bookcases. I've got a slightly obsessive streak and a database mind.

A few reasons for putting it online... I wanted to prove I could set up my own web database, and I did it. I want to share my records (sorta) but I don't want to sell them. (Well, maybe some of them.) To highlight amazing songs that are (for better or worse) only available on 45.

how?

Starting in 1992, hours and hours of typing, typing (buying, buying). Starting in 1996, more hours of coding, coding, up-and-downloading, trial-and-error and procrastination.

who?

Just me (almost). Ideas, design, production. Freeware database script courtesy of Selena Sol's Script Archive (now Extropia); installation and custom tweaking by me.

	latest A recent update to the database resulted in the loss of all user data. Repeat visitors will therefore not be able to log in as usual and will need to register once more.
